There are apartments/units and retirement living available in the valley. House prices are generally lower than in nearby cities. The block sizes are also often larger. All the services you need to access day to day including supermarkets, petrol, cafes, restaurants, doctors, hospital and schools are available in the valley.

Investment/Holiday Home
The Nambucca Valley is a very popular holiday destination due to its amazing climate and close proximity to the larger nearby cities of Coffs and Port and is within easy access to Sydney and Brisbane. The Air BnB scene is very dynamic. While property prices have risen there are still some excellent opportunities for investment growth.

Commercial Property
The Nambucca Valley has more limited commercial property available than other areas with the focus being on small to medium commercial property. There are numerous retail options in retail and hospitality with prices (rent and buy) often significantly more affordable. Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane with easy access to the M1 it is appealing to many businesses.

Rural Property
Rural property is available in close proximity to the towns of the valley. Rural residential to small farms to larger farms are all available. Prices have rapidly increased over the last 20 years but there are still some excellent buys available. Many live on hobby farms for the lifestyle while still working in valley towns or even Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour.

- Macksville – a farming town with a great deal of history and a friendly old fashioned way of life. Rural and residential properties are numerous
- Scotts Head – on the headland at the southern end of the valley. If you want surfing then this is THE place to be. Watch out for the international surfing stars who may be riding a wave or two with you.
